Aunties and Uncles is a Registered Charity with a trained co-ordinator who fosters links between children from vulnerable families and adult volunteers, who provides regular respite, mentoring, friendship and support.
The co-ordinator evaluates the needs of the families, recruit, assess and train adult volunteers (Aunties & Uncles), and link them together for ongoing support, education and friendship.
The Australian Drug Foundation has created a site which provides information on drugs and driving.
The site includes information for young people, parents, older drivers and commercial drivers. It aims to educate people on the dangers of driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and provides information on the side affects and dangers of specific drugs, including cannabis, heroin ecstasy and amphetamines.
